Pengaruh Pendidikan Kewirausahaan dan Keterampilan Terhadap Motivasi Berwirausaha (Studi Empiris Pada Mahasiswa Akuntansi 2020 di Universitas Islam Malang)
Abstract
Unemployment is one of the major issues in Indonesia, particularly among university graduates. Entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial skills have significant potential to enhance students' motivation to create independent job opportunities. This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial skills on the entrepreneurial motivation of Accounting students in the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Islamic University of Malang. The research employed a quantitative approach using primary data collected through Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to 175 7th-semester students of the 2020 cohort. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that entrepreneurship education has a positive and significant influence on entrepreneurial motivation, with a significance value of 0.007 and a regression coefficient of 2.288. Similarly, entrepreneurial skills also have a positive and significant impact on entrepreneurial motivation, with a significance value of 0.009 and a regression coefficient of 2.309. The analysis of the coefficient of determination shows that entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurial skills together explain 74.7% of the variation in students' entrepreneurial motivation, while the remaining 25.3% is influenced by other factors outside this study. This study highlights the importance of entrepreneurship education as a tool to build students' motivation and skills in entrepreneurship. This aligns with the need to encourage young generations to become independent and innovative entrepreneurs who contribute to reducing unemployment. Therefore, universities are expected to strengthen more practical entrepreneurship education programs to support the development of quality entrepreneurs.
