Abstract


This study aims to examine and compare the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on the financial performance of manufacturing companies and financial service companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during the 2021-2023 period. CSR is a strategic factor in company operations as it has the potential to enhance reputation, strengthen relationships with stakeholders, and influence financial performance. In this study, financial performance is measured using several indicators, including Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), and Net Profit Margin (NPM). This research employs a quantitative approach using multiple regression analysis to examine the relationship between CSR and financial performance. The sample is selected using the purposive sampling technique, considering companies that consistently publish annual reports and sustainability reports throughout the study period. The findings of this study are expected to provide insights into the differences in the impact of CSR on financial performance in both sectors and offer recommendations for company management in optimizing CSR policies.
