Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of financial literacy, ease of use, security, and lifestyle on students' decisions to adopt the QR-based digital transaction system. In 2024, Indonesia is undergoing a rapid digital transformation that significantly affects consumer lifestyles, particularly in payment activities, where QRIS has become increasingly prevalent. Despite its growing popularity, the use of QRIS still faces challenges, particularly the low level of financial literacy and the limited public understanding of digital financial products and services. This research employs a quantitative approach with a sample of 100 active undergraduate students from the Islamic University of Malang, obtained through the distribution of questionnaires. The findings indicate that financial literacy (X1), ease of use (X2), and lifestyle (X4) have a positive and significant impact on the decision to use QRIS, while the security variable (X3) does not have a significant effect. This study contributes to the theoretical frameworks of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), and it is expected to enhance readers’ understanding of the importance of financial literacy and encourage the safe adoption of QRIS within a digitally driven lifestyle.

Keywords: Financial literacy, lifestyle, convenience, security, QRIS.
