Abstract


Financial performance is an important aspect in assessing the success of a company, including in the banking industry. To achieve good financial performance, banking companies must implement corporate governance and effective risk management. Good corporate governance and effective risk management will have a positive impact on the company's financial performance. One of the factors that can cause a banking financial crisis is that companies in Indonesia have not significantly improved the implementation of Good Corporate Governance and risk management. This research is a non-case quantitative study using a causal research type. The objective of this research is to determine how independent variables (Good Corporate Governance and Risk Management) affect the dependent variable. This research was conducted on several banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2019-2021. This research was conducted through the website www.idx.co.id. Based on the research results, Good Corporate Governance has a significant impact on financial performance. Whereas risk management does not have a significant impact on financial performance.
