Pengaruh Risk Tolerance, Religiusitas, dan Social Media Terhadap Keputusan Investasi (Studi Kasus Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Islam Malang)

Abstract


The objective of this study is to examine how risk tolerance, religiosity, and social media impact the investment choices made by students enrolled in the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Islamic University of Malang. Risk tolerance, religiosity, and social media serve as the independent variables, while investment decisions are considered the dependent variable. Employing a quantitative research methodology, numerical data was utilized, and primary data was gathered via questionnaires. The study targeted students from the Faculty of Economics and Business at the Islamic University of Malang, with a sample size of 87 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Hypotheses were assessed through a range of statistical analyses, including descriptive statistics, instrument testing, normality test, classical assumption test, regression analysis, and hypothesis testing using SPSS Version 23. The results revealed that risk tolerance negatively influences investment decisions, while religiosity has a positive impact. Conversely, social media was found to have a negative effect on investment decisions.
