Abstract

Perceptions of accounting students about the factors that influence career choice. This study aims to determine the effect of professional training and work environment on career choices as public accountants for accounting students. This study uses quantitative methods that aim to explain the relationship between variables and analyze numerical data (numbers) using statistical methods. The population in this study were accounting students at the Islamic University of Malang which was used as a sample of 160 students obtained using the slovin formula. The results of this study indicate that the variable of professional training affects the choice of a career as a public accountant for accounting students and the results of the research on the variable of the work environment affect the choice of a career as a public accountant. public accounting for accounting students.Keyword: Professional training, Work environment and career selection
