Abstract


This study aims to determine the effect of understanding investment and investment motivation on student interest in investing in the capital market. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to students of class 2017 & 2018 in accordance with the criteria set by previous researchers with the understanding that investment acts as (X1), investment motivation acts as (X2) and student interest acts as the dependent variable (Y). The population used is students of accounting study program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Islamic University of Malang. By taking a sample using purposive sampling so that the data that can be generated from data processing is known that investment understanding and investment motivation have a positive and significant influence on students in investing in the capital market.
