Substitution Of Antibiotics Growth Promoter (AGP) With Probiotics To Increase Productivity Of Chicken Farms in sendang Laok Village, Madura

Sofijan SOFIJAN HADI Hadi

Abstract

A probiotic consortium was applied to a group of livestock chickens on a chicken farm during one harvest cycle, compared to a group of livestock fed by AGP and a group of cattle that were not treated. All groups of livestock chickens were given the same type and amount of feed. Then observed the growth of body weight and mortality of all chickensgroups. The results obtained, the use of antibiotics (AGP) can increase the growth of livestock chickens by 14.7% with a mortality rate of 10%. The use of a probiotic consortium can increase the growth of livestock chickens by 20.7% with a mortality rate of 3%. The socialization of science and technology products in the form of a probiotic consortium to the chicken breeders in Sendang Laok Madura village, resulted in changes in the management of feed supplements, namely the substitution of AGP with the probiotic consortium.
