PERAN DAN UPAYA KOMISI PEMILIHAN UMUM UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI POLITIK MASYARAKAT DEMI TERWUJUDYA PEMERINTAHAN DAERAH YANG DEMOKRATIS (Study di Kota Batu Pemilu Tahun 2019)

The choice of the theme is background by many people who are passive and do not care about the importance of holding general  elections so that the role as well as the KPU's efforts are urgently needed to conduct socialization. Based on this background, this paper raises the following problem formulation: 1. How is the participation of Batu City community 2019 elections? 2. What are KPU's efforts to realize public political participation in the 2019 elections? 3. What are the obstacles of the KPU to increase the political participation of the people of Batu City? 4. What is the solution if there are obstacles in the process of increasing political participation in the people of Batu City? The method used by the writer is sociological juridical. data sources used are primary and secondary data sources. Data collection techniques carried out through interviews. This type of research is a type of descriptive research and data processing techniques carried out descriptively qualitative. Batu City community participation increases every year, it is the result of the efforts of the Batu City KPU.

ABSTRAK

Pemilihan tema tersebut dilatar belakangi oleh banyak masyarakat yang  pasif dan tidak peduli akan penting melakukan pemilihan umum sehingga peran sekaligus upaya KPU sangat dibutuhkan untuk melakukan sosialisasi Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut, karya tulis ini mengangkat rumusan masalah sebagai berikut: 1. Bagaimana partisipasi masyarakat Kota Batu dalam pemilu tahun 2019 ? 2. Bagaimana upaya-upaya KPU untuk mewujudkan partisipasi politik masyarakat dalam pemilu 2019? 3. Apa saja kendala-kendala KPU untuk meningkatkan partisipasi politik masyarakat Kota Batu? 4. Bagaimana solusi jika terjadi kendala pada proses peningkatan partisipasi politik pada masyarakat Kota Batu? Metode yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah yuridis sosiologis. sumber data yang digunakan adalah sumber data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengumpuln data dilakukan melalui wawancara. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan merupakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dan teknik pengolahan data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Partisipasi masyarakat Kota Batu meningkat setiap tahunnya, hal tersebut merupakan hasil dari upaya KPU Kota Batu.
