EFEK EKSTRAK BIJI KEDELAI (Glycine max), RIMPANG JAHE WANGI (Zingiber officinale) DAN KOMBINASINYA TERHADAP KADAR HDL DAN LDL SERUM TIKUS MODEL DIABETES
Abstract
Introduction: Dyslipidemia on Diabetes Melitus Contribute to increase Cardiovascular risk. Soybean (Glycine max) and Gingger (Zingiber officinale) already well known has pharmacological effect to alternative treatments for Dyslipidemia on Diabetes Melitus especially in it’s combination has not been evaluated. This research aimed to know about potential antidislypidemia of Soybean seed (Glycine max), Gingger rhizome (Zingiber officinale) and its combination on Diabetes melitus
Method: This study uses control group test only which were divided into normal control groups, positive controls and 4 treatment groups. The rats were induced with a high-fat-fructose diet (DTLF) and multiple-dose intraperitoneal (i.p). The rat was administrated orally with the soybean seed extract 5 g / kgBB, ginger rhizome 500 mg / kg body weight, herbal combination delja I 2500: 250 mg / kg body weight, and delja II 5000: 500 mg / kgBB. Serum level of HDL was measure using spectrophotometric λ = 500 nm and LDL using Friedewald (indirect) formula. Data analyzed by using the One Way ANOVA analysis continued with LSD test (p <0.05).
Result : ginger extract can increase HDL levels about 10% (p <0.05). Soybean seed extract and ginger rhizome extract significantly decreased LDL Serum levels around 70% and 60% respectively. Delja I and II decreased serum LDL levels approximately 40% and 65% respectively compared to groups treatment control (p <0.05). The induction of DTLF and STZ in the treatment control group decreased HDL and increased LDL 1.4 and 11 respectively times compared with normal control group .
Conclusion: soybean seed extract, ginger rhizome and delja II combination can reduce serum LDL levels in rats diabetic models. HDL levels only be increased in ginger extract.
