STUDI PERENCANAAN TEMPAT PENGOLAHAN SAMPAH TERPADU DI DESA JELGUNG KECAMATAN ROBATAL KABUPATEN SAMPANG

Abstract


The increase in population and socio-economic activities in Jelgung Village, Robatal District, Sampang Regency, has caused the daily waste generation to continue increasing, while the existing waste management system is still dominated by uncontrolled disposal, burning, and disposal into open areas or rivers. This study aims to analyze the projected waste generation, determine the capacity and mass balance of the Integrated Waste Processing Facility (TPST), design the physical layout of the facility, and calculate the construction cost budget plan. The study used a quantitative technical planning approach based on SNI 19-3964-1994, SNI 19-3983-1995, SNI 19-2454- 2002, and related waste management guidelines. Data were obtained through field observation, waste sampling for eight consecutive days, measurement of composition and density, population projection, calculation of processing capacity, physical design planning, unit price analysis, and RAB calculation. The results show that the projected waste generation in 2029 is 24.972 m3/day or 6,302.4 kg/day. The waste composition is dominated by organic waste, with 62% of the total incoming material allocated to organic processing, 31% to recyclable inorganic waste, and 7% to residue. The planned TPST includes receiving, sorting, shredding, biodrying/composting, sieving, recyclable storage, residue storage, and supporting facilities. The biodrying process reduces the organic fraction from 15.482 m3/day to 10.063 m3/day and reduces weight from 3,907.5 kg/day to 2,735.3 kg/day. The total RAB including overhead, profit, and VAT is IDR 4,422,362,489. The proposed TPST is expected to reduce the burden on final disposal sites and provide a more integrated waste management solution at the village level.
