Abstract
Abstrak Pertumbuhan jumlah penduduk dan pembangunan kota yang makin meningkat menyebabkan sampah perkotaan ikut naik dengan pesat. TPA Tegalasri di Kecamatan Wlingi saat ini masih memakai sistem controlled landfill, yang tetap memunculkan masalah lingkungan seperti bau tak sedap, lalat, dan pencemaran lindi (leachate).Ringkasan PenelitianTujuan: Menghitung timbulan sampah, menilai kapasitas TPA, serta merancang sistem sanitary landfill yang meliputi alas TPA, kestabilan lereng, penangkapan gas, dan pengolahan lindi.Metode: Menggunakan data primer (timbulan sampah, kepadatan sampah, jumlah penduduk) serta data sekunder (karakteristik TPA, peta wilayah, air, dan tanah).Hasil: Rata-rata timbulan sampah sebesar 0,393 kg/orang/hari dengan umur layanan TPA selama 10 tahun yang terbagi dalam tiga zona ukuran 130 m × 30 m.Sistem Sarana TPAGas Tpa: Memakai pipa berlubang HDPE pada kedalaman 12 meter.Pengolahan Lindi: Menggunakan pipa ukuran 2 sampai 6 inci serta empat kolam pengolahan yaitu kolam penampung, kolam anaerobik, kolam fakultatif, dan kolam pematangan.Manfaat: Desain baru ini diharapkan bisa memperbaiki pengelolaan sampah, menekan polusi lingkungan, dan membuat operasional TPA menjadi lebih aman serta berkelanjutan.Kata Kunci: Sanitary landfill, timbulan sampah, kapasitas TPA, gas TPA, pengolahan lindi. Abstract The increasing growth of population and urban development has led to a significant rise in municipal solid waste generation. Tegalasri Landfill in Wlingi District currently operates using a controlled landfill system, which still causes environmental problems such as odor, flies, and leachate pollution. Therefore, this study proposes the implementation of a sanitary landfill system as a more effective and environmentally friendly waste management method. This study aims to determine waste generation, evaluate landfill capacity, and design a sanitary landfill system consisting of the landfill base liner, slope stability, landfill gas collection, and leachate drainage and treatment system. The study utilized both primary data (waste generation, waste density, and population) and secondary data (landfill characteristics, demographic, hydrological, and topographical data). The collected data were analyzed using the arithmetic population projection method, waste generation analysis, landfill capacity calculation, landfill design, slope stability evaluation, landfill gas collection design, and leachate drainage and treatment planning. The results showed that the average waste generation was 0.393 kg/person/day. The landfill was designed with three landfill phases, each measuring 130 m × 30 m, providing a service life of 10 years. The landfill gas collection system uses HDPE perforated pipesinstalled at a depth of 12 m, while the leachate management system consists of pipelines with diameters ranging from 2 to 6 inches and four treatment ponds: a collection pond, an anaerobic pond, a facultative pond, and a maturation pond. The proposed sanitary landfill design is expected to improve waste management performance by increasing landfill capacity, controlling landfill gas emissions, and treating leachate effectively. These improvements will help reduce environmental pollution, enhance operational efficiency, and provide a sustainable waste management system for the Tegalasri Landfill over its planned service life.
