STUDI EVALUASI DAN PENGEMBANGAN JARINGAN DISTRIBUSI AIR BERSIH DI DESA MANDURO KECAMATAN KABUH KABUPATEN JOMBANG MENGGUNAKAN APLIKASI WATERCAD V8i

Abstract


Clean water is a basic necessity for domestic, social, and economic activities. With the projected population growth in Manduro Village, evaluating and developing the clean water distribution system is necessary to ensure sufficient water supply through 2036. This study aimed to evaluate the existing distribution network, project the future population, and analyze water demand and hydraulic performance using WaterCAD V8i. A quantitative descriptive method was applied through field surveys, literature review, and the collection of population, discharge, and topographic data. The existing system supplies 9.57 L/s of water to 3,527 residents through 97 junctions and an 8,383 m PVC pipeline network fed by three groundwater wells. Hydraulic simulation showed pressures between 321 and 971 kPa, meeting SNI 7509:2011 standards, while flow velocities ranged from 0.01 to 2.28 m/s, with low velocities occurring at the network ends. Population projection estimated 3,890 residents by 2036. The proposed network can supply 10.552 L/s through a direct pumping system using three groundwater wells and a 13,625 m pipeline network. Simulated pressures ranged from 380 to 970 kPa, while flow velocities varied from 0.00 to 2.83 m/s. Although several sections still exhibited low velocities, the proposed system is capable of meeting projected water demand through 2036, despite relying entirely on pumps because the storage reservoir is currently out of service due to leakage.
