STUDI PERENCANAAN JARINGAN DISTRIBUSI AIR BERSIH DI DESA MARGA MULYA SAKTI KECAMATAN PENARIK KABUPATEN MUKOMUKO PROVINSI BENGKULU MENGGUNAKAN SOFTWARE EPANET 2.2

Abstract


Population growth has increased the demand for clean water, requiring an appropriate water distribution system to ensure reliable service. This study aims to estimate future water demand and design a clean water distribution network for Marga Mulya Sakti Village, Penarik District, Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province. The research involved population projection, water demand analysis, groundwater source planning, and hydraulic simulation using EPANET 2.2. The arithmetic, geometric, and exponential methods were evaluated, and the arithmetic method was selected based on the highest correlation coefficient. The projected population in 2035 is 1,796 inhabitants, with an average water demand of 2.39 L/s and a peak hour demand of 4.31 L/s. The proposed system consists of three groundwater wells, three storage tanks, 35 pipeline segments, and 36 junctions. Hydraulic simulation indicates pressures ranging from 10.85 to 46.98 mH₂O, flow velocities from 0.30 to 1.07 m/s, and unit headloss values of 3.46–20.67 m/km. Although the maximum unit headloss exceeds the recommended limit on a single 10-meter pipeline segment, the overall network satisfies the hydraulic design criteria. Therefore, the proposed distribution system is considered capable of meeting the projected clean water demand in the study area.
