OPTIMASI PEMBERIAN AIR IRIGASI PADA DAERAH IRIGASI SUNGAI TUNDO KABUPATEN MALANG MENGGUNAKAN PROGRAM LINIER
Abstract
Water is the most important thing for the survival of living things. The Tundo River Irrigation Area is an irrigation area under the auspices of the Malang Regency PU Irrigation Service and has been built more than 20 years ago, with a total agricultural area of 2,050 Ha spread across the Tirtoyudo District. The planting pattern in the Tundo River Irrigation Area is Rice/Secondary Crops. This study will optimize the provision of irrigation water which is intended to regulate the planting pattern in accordance with the available discharge, so that farmers can obtain higher production results than previous production. The calculation results show the water requirements for each planting season alternative. The annual water requirement is 77,807.40 m³/Ha for Alternative 1, 78,019.20 m³/Ha for Alternative 2, 78,339.80 m³/Ha for Alternative 3, 78,032.00 m³/Ha for Alternative 4, and 78,254.30 m³/Ha for Alternative 5. Based on the optimization results using the linear programming method, several optimal cropping pattern alternatives were obtained. Alternative I yields the highest income by implementing a cropping pattern of rice (641 Ha)/secondary crops (1,409 Ha) – rice (258 Ha)/secondary crops (1,792 Ha) – rice (8 Ha)/secondary crops (997 Ha), starting in the third week of November with a cropping intensity of 249%. Based on the optimal cropping pattern alternative from the linear programming optimization results, the production profit in Alternative I is IDR 32,575,153,000
