STUDI PERENCANAAN SISTEM PENGOLAHAN AIR LIMBAH KOMUNAL DI PERUMAHAN MUTIARA GARDEN PASURUAN

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Domestic waste is one of the biggest contributors to environmental pollution in residential areas. This study aims to plan a communal Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) at Mutiara Garden Pasuruan Housing with a combination of Anaerobic Baffled Reactor (ABR) and Aerobic Biofilter approaches. The research method includes collecting primary data in the form of existing conditions and secondary data in the form of literature and applicable regulations. The results of the study indicate that the ABR system is able to reduce BOD and COD by 70–90%, while the Aerobic Biofilter is effective for removing organic loads with a Hydraulic Loading Rate (HLR) of 10–75 m3/m2.day. The planning produces WWTP unit dimensions that suit the needs of 600 houses on ±99,380 m² of land with a Budget Plan (RAB) required to build a series of Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP) Location 1 of Rp 559,713,601.20.-. And for location 2 of Rp. 537,648,046.56.-.
