STUDI EVALUASI SISTEM DRAINASE DALAM PENANGANAN BANJIR DI KELURAHAN SAWOJAJAR, KECAMATAN KEDUNGKANDANG KOTA MALANG

Abstract


ABSTARCT

 

The flood that struck Sawojajar Village was caused by the drainage channel capacity, which is suspected to be unable to accommodate the rainwater discharge. This caused water to overflow onto roads, with depths reaching 20–30 cm. The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of calculate 10-year rainfall and flood discharges, assess existing drainage capacity, and suggest improvements. Data from three rain stations consisting of Kedungkandang rain station, ciliwung rain station and tumpang rain station. Also ArcGIS 10.8 analysis of land use and drainage in sawojajar village were used. Based on the calculation using the Log Pearson Type III Method, the design rainfall for a 10-year return period is 184.34 mm The trial and error method tested various channel sizes to handle a planned discharge of 18.7811 m³/s. The results of the evaluation showed that as many as 16 channels in Sawojajar Village required drainage dimensions changes. For rectangular drains, recommended sizes are 1 m, 1,5 m, 2 m in height and 0.6 m, 1.5 m in width. For trapezoidal ones, 1.5, and 2 m in height, 1 m for bottom width, and 1.2 m for top width are suitable.
