STUDI ALTERNATIF PERENCANAAN STRUKTUR BAJA KOMPOSIT PADA GEDUNG YEAST CREAM PABRIK RAGI DI KABUPATEN MALANG
Abstract
The demand for industrial buildings, such as factories, requires structures that are strong, efficient, and safe in resisting both vertical and lateral loads. Composite steel structures have become one of the most widely considered alternatives, as they combine the advantages of steel and concrete to produce a structural system that is more economical and has high stiffness. In the design of the Yeast Cream Factory building in Malang Regency, the selection of an appropriate structural system is crucial to ensure both stability and cost efficiency in construction. The objectives of this study are to determine the slab thickness and reinforcement requirements, define the dimensions, types, and sizes of steel profiles for beams, specify safe and efficient column dimensions and profiles, and design the type and dimensions of foundations suitable for the building conditions. The methods employed include literature review, field and technical data collection, structural modeling and seismic load analysis using ETABS 22.4.0, as well as manual calculations for critical elements based on Indonesian Standards (SNI 1726, 1727, 1729, 2847). The results indicate that the typical floor slab has a thickness of 120 mm with Ø10-100 reinforcement, while the roof slab has a thickness of 100 mm with Ø10-100 reinforcement. The main beams use WF 400.200.8.13, secondary beams use WF 350.175.7.11 and WF 400.200.8.13, columns use WF 250.250.9.14, and the foundation system applies bore piles with 60 cm diameter and 60 cm thickness combined with pile caps measuring 3.30 m × 1.50 m, designed for medium soil classification.
