STUDI PENINGKATAN LAPISAN TAMBAHAN (OVERLAY) PADA RUAS JALAN WAENETAT – AIR MENDIDI, KAB. BURU, PROVINSI MALUKU

Abstract


ABSTRACT

Along with the increasing development of vehicles and the rapid population growth, it will affect traffic growth, road conditions and reduced comfort for drivers who cross the road. Therefore, adequate road infrastructure is needed, namely by paving the road that can be passed by drivers. On the Waenetat - Air Mendidi road, Buru Regency, Maluku Province, along 11,000 km (STA 0 + 000 - 11 + 000). In addition, the Waenetat - Air Mendidi road section, Buru Regency, Maluku Province has experienced many changes such as cracks and holes, the damage is caused by the passage of time and its service period, as well as the increasing volume of traffic. Sotto restore comfort and strength to the road, one alternative that can because is an additional layer on the road (overlay) and drainage planning is carried out. The purpose of this planning is to determine the volume of traffic, the thickness of the additional layer and to determine the dimensions of the traffic drainage channel on the Waenetat - Air Mendidi road, Buru Regency - Maluku. On the road improvement calculation (Overlay) using the back deflection method. The results of the calculation obtained the traffic load that occurs on the Waenetat - Air Mendidi crossroad, Buru Regency, Maluku Province is 823.378SMP, the thickness of the additional layer (Overlay) is 6 cm and the calculation of the drainage channel on the Waenetat - Air Mendidi crossroad, Buru Regency, then the drainage dimensions are divided into 3 segments, namely: Segment I (Sta 0 +000 - 0 +700) obtained the dimensions of the guard height channel (w) = 0,25 m and the height of the channel (h) = 0,65m and the width of the channel (b) = 0,55 m  and channel widthpeak (B) = 1,60 mSegment II (Sta  0 +700 - 2 +000) obtained the dimensions of the guard height channel (w) = 0,35 m and the height of the channel (h) = 1,05 m and the width of the channel (b) = 0,90m and the width of the channel peak (B) = 2,05 m Segment III (Sta 5 +250 – 6 +300) obtained channel dimensions of guard height (w) = 0,25 m and channel height (h) = 0,75 m and channel width (b) = 0,61mand the width of the channel peak (B) = 1,80 m
