STUDI EVALUASI SISTEM DRAINASE DI JALAN MAYJEN SUNGKONO KECAMATAN KEDUNGKANDANG KOTA MALANG

Abstract


Kota Malang mengalami pertumbuhan pesat yang memicu perubahan tata guna lahan serta peningkatan limpasan permukaan, terutama di kawasan Jalan Mayjen Sungkono. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kapasitas saluran drainase eksisting terhadap debit banjir rencana dengan periode ulang 10 tahun. Analisis dilakukan melalui perhitungan hidrologi menggunakan distribusi Log Pearson III dan metode rasional, serta analisis hidrolika untuk menilai kapasitas saluran. Pemodelan tambahan dilakukan dengan software EPA SWMM 5.2 guna mengetahui perilaku aliran secara dinamis. Hasil menunjukkan sebagian besar saluran tidak mampu menampung debit rencana sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan genangan. Diperlukan desain ulang dimensi saluran yang sesuai agar mampu mengalirkan debit puncak. Temuan penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi masukan bagi pemerintah daerah dalam perbaikan dan perencanaan sistem drainase yang lebih efektif dan berkelanjutan.

Malang City has undergone rapid development, causing significant land-use changes and increased surface runoff, especially along Jalan Mayjen Sungkono. This study aims to evaluate the capacity of existing drainage channels to accommodate the 10-year return period design flood discharge. Hydrological analysis using the Log Pearson III distribution and the rational method was combined with hydraulic analysis to determine channel capacity. Additional modeling was performed using EPA SWMM 5.2 to simulate runoff and flow behavior dynamically. The results indicate that most existing channels cannot accommodate the design discharge, leading to potential inundation. Redesigning channel dimensions is required to meet peak flow demands. The findings are expected to provide input for local authorities in improving and planning a more effective and sustainable urban drainage system.
