                                          ABSTRACT

This research investigates the design of an eco-drainage system for the Asean Village Phase I residential
area located in Pamulang District, South Tangerang City, Banten, Indonesia. The study is motivated by recurring
surface water inundation caused by insufficient drainage infrastructure and limited infiltration capacity. The
primary objectives are to determine the design discharge, evaluate the most effective cross-sectional geometry
of the drainage channels, and establish the optimal dimensions of infiltration wells to mitigate flood risks in the
area. A comprehensive methodology was employed, consisting of both hydrological and hydraulic analyses.
Hydrological analysis involved the use of rainfall data from multiple rain gauge stations to calculate average
watershed precipitation. Distribution tests were conducted using the Chi-Square and Kolmogorov–Smirnov
methods to assess rainfall patterns. Design rainfall intensity was estimated using the Mononobe formula, while
the time of concentration was calculated using the Kirpich equation. Runoff coefficients and peak discharges
were subsequently determined. Hydraulic analysis included the application of Manning’s equation to estimate
the capacity of trapezoidal channel sections and to assess flow duration. The results indicate that the ecodrainage

system, supported by GIS-based design, effectively manages runoff, with calculated discharges as
follows: Channel A = 0.012 m³/s; B = 0.381 m³/s; C = 3.190 m³/s; D = 2.363 m³/s; E = 2.395 m³/s; F = 1.513 m³/s;
G = 0.530 m³/s; and H = 1.759 m³/s.
