ANALISIS TEBAL LAPIS TAMBAH (OVERLAY) DAN PELEBARAN PERKERASAN LENTUR RUAS JALAN RAYA DAMPIT-LUMAJANG STA (26+000 – 37+000) MENGGUNAKAN METODE MDPJ 2024 BINA MARGA
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The Dampit–Lumajang Road is a national highway connecting Malang Regency and Lumajang Regency, with a relatively high daily traffic volume. In the STA 26+000 to 37+000 segment, approximately 11 kilometers in length, pavement damage has been identified due to heavy traffic loads, particularly from overloaded vehicles. This study aims to analyze the required overlay thickness, the structural design for road widening, and the estimated construction cost using the MDPJ 2024 method issued by Bina Marga. The method utilizes deflection data obtained from Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) testing and cumulative axle load calculations (CESA) to determine the overlay thickness. The structural design of the widened section is based on the design life, cumulative axle load (CESA), and the subgrade’s California Bearing Ratio (CBR) value. The analysis results indicate that the required overlay thickness is 10 cm, with CESA4 of 7,740,598.203 ESAL and CESA5 of 8,146,652.826 ESAL. The final structure of the road widening consists of 150 mm of aggregate class C fill, 150 mm of class B subbase, 200 mm of class A base, 80 mm of lower AC-BC, 75 mm of upper AC-BC, and 40 mm of AC-WC surface course, resulting in a total thickness of 695 mm. The estimated total construction cost based on the RAB calculation is IDR 47,733,042,714.
