ABSTRACT

In urban areas, the system for providing clean water is carried out using piped and non-piped systems. As population density and growth rates increase, the need for clean water also increases. One area that still has difficulty getting clean water is Pandanwangi Village, Blimbing District, Malang City, East Java Province. The aim of this research is expected to provide alternatives/solutions in solving clean water problems, especially for the Pandanwangi Village area. The data required for this study is population for the iast 5 years, PDAM customers, clean water needs, clean water source data and reservoir volume, as well as clean water distribution network map data, using geometric methods. The clean water distribution network map will be evaluated using EPAnet software. The results of this research are that the population of Pandanwangi Village, Blimbing District, Malang City in 2032 is 35,639 people. The amount of clean water needed for Pandanwangi Village, Blimbing District, Malang City in 2023 with an average daily need of 31,849 lt/s, maximum daily need of 36,626 lt/s, and peak hour need of 47,774 it/s. Meanwhile, in 2032 water demand will increase, with an average daily demand of 35,408 lt/second, a maximum daily demand of 40,719 lt/second, and a peak hour demand of 61,079 lt/second. The results of the evaluation of the clean water distribution network system in existing conditions in 2022 found that the number of nodes was 42, 41 pipes and 1 reservoir and used a branch network type, and the existing network map could be used.
