EVALUASI PENGARUH PUTAR BALIK (U-TURN) TERHADAP KINERJA RUAS JALAN MENGANTI KOTA SURABAYA

Jalan Raya Menganti which is located in Wiyung District, Surabaya City, East Java Province. Menganti Highway is also one of the roads that almost every day experience congestion. U-Turn is one of the most frequently found infrastructures on the main road. A well-designed median can have a significant positive impact on road efficiency and road user safety. Traffic congestion on Menganti Highway often occurs due to various factors, one of which is the U-turn movement which results in slowing down or even stopping the vehicle temporarily. This study aims to determine the performance of road sections which include travel speed, degree of saturation, queue length, calculation of the number of stopped vehicles, and calculation of delays that occur on the Surabaya City Menganti road in accordance with PKJI 2023. The data analysis method used in this study is guided by PKJI 2023. The results of this study show that the performance of the Menganti road section has an average travel speed (V) between 13.78 km/h, with an average saturation degree (Dj) of 1.06. The length of the queue (L) due to the U-turn on Jalan Menganti showed the highest value was found on Saturday 87 vehicles. The total number of stops (Nsv) of all intersections was calculated at 6 junior high school / hour. The results of the calculation showed that the highest delay (D) occurred on Wednesday at 216 vehicles.
