EVALUASI KEBUTUHAN AIR IRIGASI PADA DAERAH IRIGASI SISIPAN KECAMATAN BATUI SULAWESI TENGAH

Abstract


Banggai district is one of the areas potentially becoming the national landmark of Central Sulawesi Province in the future and in turn contributes to national food stocks inining national food security (Ministry of Public Employment and People's Housing, RI, 2019(PUPR, 2019). The Sisipan Irrigation Area in Batui District, Banggai Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, covers an area of approximately 4,320 hectares (BPS Banggai, 2019). Surveys conducted by the Batui River Basin Organization revealed that the Sisipan Irrigation Area is facing a water deficit due to suboptimal utilization of available irrigation water. Additionally, the conversion of agricultural land to industrial buildings and residential areas, which has been increasing annually, has further exacerbated the water supply issue, leading to a persistent water crisis (BWS Batui, 2020)..The method used for calculating water availability is the F.J. Mock method, while the FAO method, based on KP01, is employed to determine irrigation water requirements. Average rainfall is calculated using the Thiessen Polygon method. The results indicate that the highest irrigation water requirement occurs in February, Period I, at 0.00195 m³/s with a total volume of 1,683.12 m³. The cropping pattern used is Padi-Padi-Palawija, spanning from January to December with three periods. The flow rates calculated for the channels reveal that the lowest value is 0.488 m³/s at BSKn 5, and the highest value is 2.802 m³/s at BSKn 1..
