STUDI PERENCANAAN PENGOLAHAN LIMBAH CAIR INDUSTRI KEDELAI DI DESA NGERANGIN KABUPATEN MALANG

Abstract


Limbah cair pabrik tahu Pak Umar mengandung kadar organik tinggi yang melebihi baku mutu yang telah ditetapkan oleh dinas lingkungan hidup untuk limbah cair tahu. Kadar organik limbah cair tahu pabrik pak Umar diketahui mengandung BOD sebesar 1297 mg/l, COD sebesar 5800 mg/l, TSS sebesar 560,5 mg/l, pH sebesar 3,93. Maka dari itulah dibutuhkan pengolahan limbah yang tepat dan efektif terutama untuk sektor industry. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengurangi kadar kandungan organik pada air limbah produksi. Penentuan metode didasarkan pada besar nilai kadungan organik yang terkandung didalam limbah yang diperoleh sampel limbah yang diuji dari laboratorium. IPAL yang direncanakan adalah dengan metode biofilter anaerob. Desain tersebut dipilih karena mampu menurunkan kadar zat sampai 80 persen. Hasil dari penelitian ini didapatkan hasil perhitungan debit limbah cair tahu yang dihasilkan perhari pada industri tahu Q = 7,35 m³/hari, dan dimensi bak ekualisasi (2,1 m x 4,2 m x 2 m), dimensi bak pengendap kompartemen I (1,2 m x 2 m x 2 m), kompartemen II (0,6 m x 2 m x 2 m), Biofilter Anaerob tiap kompartemen (0,80 m x 1,2 m x 2 m) sebanyak 2 buah dengan presentase removal COD dan BOD sebesar 79,5 % dan 86,7%.

Liquid waste from Mr. Umar's tofu factory contains high organic levels that exceed established quality standards. Determined by the environmental service for tofu liquid waste. It is known that the organic content of Pak Umar's tofu factory liquid waste contains BOD of 1297 mg/l, COD of 5800 mg/l, TSS of 560.5 mg/l, pH of 3.93. Therefore, appropriate and effective waste processing is needed, especially for the industrial sector. The aim of this research is to reduce the levels of organic content in production wastewater. The determination method is based on the value of the organic content contained in waste obtained from waste samples tested from the laboratory. The planned WWTP is using the anaerobic biofilter method. This design was chosen because it can reduce the organic contains levels by up to 80 percent. The results of this research, it was obtained that the calculation results for the discharge of tofu liquid waste produced per day in the tofu industry were Q = 7.35 m³/day, and the dimensions of the equalization tank (2.1 m x 4.2 m x 2 m), the dimensions of the compartment I settling tank (1.2 m x 2 m x 2 m), compartment II (0.6 m x 2 m x 2 m), 2 Anaerobic Biofilters per compartment (0.80 m x 1.2 m x 2 m) with a COD and BOD removal percentage of 79.5% and 86.7%.
