Abstract

The Effect of Corn Steep Liquor and Essential Amino Acids Supplementation in Drinking Water on the Performance of Finisher Broilers.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of administering *Corn Steep Liquor* (CSL) and essential amino acids via drinking water on feed intake, body weight gain, and the Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) of broiler chickens during the finisher phase. A total of 80 broiler chickens (22 days old) were used in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and four replicates. The treatments applied were P0 (control), P1 (4% essential amino acids and CSL), P2 (5%), and P3 (6%). The Least Significant Difference (LSD) test was conducted following data analysis using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results showed that feed intake and body weight gain were significantly affected (P<0.05) by the administration of CSL and essential amino acids, while the FCR value was highly significantly affected (P<0.01). The P3 treatment produced the best performance, with the lowest feed intake (1701.80 g), the highest body weight gain (1435.90 g), and the lowest FCR (1.43). Supplementation of CSL and essential amino acids through drinking water has the potential to improve feed utilization efficiency and enhance the performance of finisher broiler chickens.
