EVALUASI SEMEN SAPI LIMOUSIN DAN SIMENTAL UMUR SEBELAS TAHUN

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kualitas semen sapi impor (Limousin dan Simental) dan lokal (Bali dan Madura) pada umur 11 tahun untuk selanjutnya dibandingkan dengan standar minimal Permentan No 10 tahun2016. Semen Beku dan Permentan Nomor 10 Tahun 2016 untuk dapat diproses menjadi semen beku. Materi yang digunakan berupa data catatan penampungan semen periode tahun 2020 sapi Limousin, Simental, Bali dan Madura pada saat berumur 11 tahun di BBIB Singosari. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus semen sapi Limosin dan Simental serta sapi Bali dn Madura. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas semen sapi impor umur 11 tahun tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) dengan standar minimal Permentan No 10 tahun2016.. Rata-rata volume semen sapi Limousin umur 11 tahun adalah 6,16±0,173 ml sedangkan sapi Simental 7,09±0,452 ml. Motilitas semen sapi Limousin 81,10±1,040% dan sapi Simental 75,70±1,492%. Abnormalitas semen sapi Limousin 5,80±0,575% dan sapi Simental 8,01±0,821%. Kualitas semen sapi impor dan sapi lokal umur 11 tahun juga tidak menunjukan perbedaan signifikan (P>0,05). Rata-rata volume semen sapi Bali adalah 6,14±0,75 ml dan volume semen sapi Madura yaitu 6,4±0,735 ml. Motilitas semen sapi Bali 80,38±1,71 % dan sapi Madura 78,32±2,65 %. Abnormalitas semen sapi Bali 5,88±1,14 % dan sapi Madura 7,97±1,17%. Disimpulkan bahwa sapi Limousin dan Simental pada umur 11 tahun masih memiliki kualitas semen yang baik sesuai dengan Permentan No 10 Tahun 2016. Sapi Limousin dan Simental pada umur 11 tahun memiliki kualitas semen yang sama bila dibandingkan dengan sapi Bali dan Madura pada umur yang sama.
