IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM QUZIDO (AL-QUR'AN, DZIKIR, DAN DOA) DALAM PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS PADA SISWA DI MAN 2 KOTA MALANG

Abstract

A daily habit is easy to observe but hard to prove meaningful, which is why schools that run religious routines rarely stop to ask how those routines are actually organised behind the scenes. This study looks behind one such routine, the QUZIDO Program (Qur'an reading, Dzikir, and Doa) at MAN 2 Kota Malang, to trace how it is planned, carried out, and reviewed as a deliberate effort to shape students' religious character rather than left as an unexamined ritual. A qualitative case study design was used; data were drawn from interviews, field observation, and institutional documents involving informants chosen purposively, then worked through in stages of condensing, displaying, and drawing conclusions, with cross-checking across sources and methods to keep the account trustworthy. Three things stood out. Planning is not improvised: an annual work meeting bringing together the curriculum vice-principal, the religious affairs division, and religion teachers produces a yearly schedule and a clear division of duties. Implementation plays out each morning before lessons begin, through congregational Dhuha prayer, Qur'an reading, dzikir, and doa, plus religious talks, with menstruating students given an adapted activity so no one is left out of the routine. Evaluation happens every quarter, not just once a year, giving the religious affairs team room to catch problems early and adjust. Read together, the three stages form a preventive, self-correcting cycle that moves students from knowing what is right, to feeling it, to actually practising it.
