PENERAPAN BUDAYA RELIGIUS SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN KARAKTER KEAGAMAAN SISWA SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS AL-MA’ARIF SINGOSARI MALANG

Abstract

Culture is essentially a totality of patterns of human life that are born of thinking and habituation that characterizes a community, school environment, residents who are transmitted together. And it can also be said that culture is the creation, the work of humans, human beings who will produce a culture that has ethical values as well. The religious character of students is often associated with personality, morals, so that in shaping the character is also connected with the formation of a personality that has moral character. The values contained in religion are very sacred values that require an understanding of understanding that requires the process of forming, fostering, developing, improving character or human dignity to be noble. The purpose of this study is 1) to describe the form of school religious culture in improving the character of students of Al-Ma’arif Singosari Malang High School. 2) to describe the implementation of school religious culture with the religious character of students of Al-Ma’arif Singosari Malang. The research approach used in this study is a qualitative approach because it is in accordance with qualitative characteristics. The type used in this study is ethnography which means scientific writing about culture, especially religious culture at Al-Ma'arif Singosari High School. In this study researchers in the field became the main requirement to record school religious culture, researchers collected school data, where researchers became key instruments. The results of the study indicate that the application of school religious culture is indeed the main purpose of forming, developing, improving student character and school character. And the appeal of the principal and teachers to parents of students so that they can maintain the traditions both at school and at home. Despite many factors affect the character development of students, especially guardian parents, which was revealed by the principal of SMAI, namely Ibu Titik Susanti and the second environment and the third is free association in life outside of school.
