INTERNALISASI NILAI MORAL MELALUI PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM PADA SISWA SMPN 1 BARON NGANJUK

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the strategies, implementation, and impacts of moral value internalization through Islamic Religious Education learning at SMPN 1 Baron. The study employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research participants consisted of Islamic Religious Education teachers, the vice principal for student affairs, and students of SMPN 1 Baron. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, which includes data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing.The findings reveal that the strategies for moral value internalization were carried out through teacher role modeling, habituation of religious activities, moral advice, connecting learning materials to students’ daily lives, utilizing stories of prophets and companions, and creating a religious school culture. The implementation of moral value internalization was integrated into all stages of the learning process, including preliminary, core, and closing activities. Furthermore, it was reinforced through various school religious programs such as collective prayers, congregational prayers, Friday charity activities, and the practice of greeting others. The impacts of moral value internalization were reflected in students’ improved discipline, politeness, sense of responsibility, social awareness, and commitment to religious practices in their daily lives. These findings indicate that the internalization of moral values through Islamic Religious Education contributes positively to the development of students’ religious character and promotes behavior that aligns with Islamic moral values.
