PERAN GURU AKIDAH AKHLAK DALAM MENUMBUHKAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA KELAS X DI MA HIDYATUL MUBTADI’IN TASIKMADU KOTA MALANG

Abstract

Education, especially through the habituation of religious activities in the school environment. Activities such as congregational dhuha and dzuhur prayers are expected to instill the values of discipline and awareness of worship in students. However, in its implementation, some students are still found to be not fully consistent in participating in these activities, both in terms of punctuality during the activity, this study was conducted to examine in depth the role of aqidah akhlak teachers in fostering the religious character of class X students at MA hidayatul mubtadi'in, what strategies are used and the obstacles faced by aqidah akhlak teachers in fostering students' religious character. The main focus of this study lies in how teachers not only convey religious values but also guide and direct students to be able to practice them in everyday life. Using a qualitative case study method, data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study indicate that aqidah akhlak teachers have an important role in fostering students' religious character through the habituation of dhuha and dzuhur prayer activities that are carried out routinely.
