PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN CERPEN BRAILLE UNTUK MENANAMKAN AKHLAK PADA SISWA TUNANETRA DI SLB SATHITEN MALANG

Abstract


This study addresses the limited availability of accessible learning media for moral (akhlak) education for visually impaired students, which has resulted in teacher-centered instruction and reduced opportunities for active and independent learning. The research aims to develop an Islamic-themed Braille short story learning media, examine its feasibility, and identify its potential effectiveness in instilling moral values among students at SLB Sathiten Malang. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants included subject matter experts, media experts, special education experts, teachers, and two visually impaired students. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, documentation, and student comprehension tests, and analyzed using qualitative and quantitative techniques. The developed product integrates Braille short stories containing values of discipline, honesty, and politeness, supported by audio access via barcode. The feasibility test showed positive responses from students (76%) and teachers (78%), categorized as feasible. Findings from observations and evaluations indicated improved student engagement and understanding of moral values through the learning process.
