IMPLEMENTASI PROGRAM PEMBIASAAN KEGIATAN KEAGAMAAN DALAM MEWUJUDKAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS PESERTA DIDIK DI SMP NEGERI 21 MALANG

Abstract


This study provides an in-depth investigation of the implementation of religious habituation programs in shaping students’ religious character at SMP Negeri 21 Malang. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, the research gathered data through observations, interviews, and documentation to understand how religious activities are planned, carried out, and internalized by students. The study found that religious habituation programs including Asmaul Husna recitation, congregational Dhuha and Dzuhur prayers, tahlil, istighosah, keputrian, and annual Islamic celebrations serve as an effective medium to instill Islamic values in students. These programs consistently cultivate discipline, responsibility, politeness, empathy, and spiritual awareness. Supported by school leadership and Islamic teachers, the activities become part of a routine culture that strengthens students’ faith and moral behavior. Despite facing challenges such as students’ varying motivation and external environmental influences, the program remains effective in nurturing spiritual consciousness and improving students’ religious conduct.
