PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA TEKA-TEKI SILANG TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KELAS X PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM (PAI) DI SMAN 4 MALANG
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of crossword puzzles (TTS) on student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) among grade X students of SMAN 4 Malang. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and a post-test control group design only. There are two populations in this study, namely the experimental group of 31 students who were taught using crossword puzzles and the control group of 36 students who were taught conventionally. Data were collected through observation and learning outcome tests, then analyzed using Pearson correlation, independent sample t-test, and simple linear regression. The results showed a significant positive correlation between the use of crossword puzzles and student learning achievement (r = 0.318, sig. 0.009 < 0.05). Furthermore, there was a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two groups (sig. 0.006 < 0.05), with the experimental group achieving a higher average score of 78.5 than the control group of 67.3. Regression analysis showed that crossword puzzles had a significant effect on learning outcomes (sig. 0.009 < 0.05). This finding indicates that crossword puzzles are not only an interesting learning medium but also effective in improving students' understanding, motivation, and critical thinking skills in Islamic Religious Education learning.
