PERAN GURU PAI DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA MELALUI KEGIATAN ROHIS DI SMKN 4 MALANG
Abstract
This study investigates the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in shaping students’ religious character through the activities of the Islamic Spiritual Organization (ROHIS) at SMK Negeri 4 Malang. Using a qualitative approach with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation, the research reveals that ROHIS plays a significant role in fostering students’ discipline in worship, moral behavior, social responsibility, and active involvement in religious activities. PAI teachers serve not only as classroom educators but also as mentors, facilitators, and role models who guide students in practicing Islamic values in daily life. Despite challenges such as students’ lack of motivation and the influence of secular culture, the involvement of PAI teachers in ROHIS proves to be an effective strategy for promoting holistic religious character development among students.
