IMPLEMENTASI PENDALAMAN PROGRAM KEAGAMAAN DALAM MEMBENTUK KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA DI SMPN SATU ATAP TERPADU CIBINONG
Abstract
This research aims to describe the implementation of religious program deepening in the Islamic Education subject (PAI) and its role in shaping students’ religious character at SMPN Satu Atap Terpadu Cibinong. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that religious programs such as Yasin recitation, collective dhikr, congregational Dhuha prayer, Qur’an literacy (BTQ), and the study of classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning) contribute significantly to strengthening students’ faith, discipline, and responsibility in worship. Students showed improved self-confidence, particularly in leading prayers, reciting the Qur’an, and acting as prayer leaders, as well as greater initiative in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of worship facilities. The study recommends that school principals maintain and develop these programs with adequate facilities and teacher competence enhancement, while students are encouraged to actively participate and apply religious values in daily life. Future research may explore broader educational contexts and examine the influence of religious program deepening on other character aspects such as tolerance, social care, and independence.
