Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on students’ learning outcomes in the Akidah Akhlak subject at MTs An-Nur Bululawang Malang. The research is positioned within the field of Islamic education, addressing low student engagement and suboptimal learning outcomes observed under conventional teaching methods. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was employed, involving control and experimental groups. Data were collected using pre-tests and post-tests, and analyzed using the Independent Sample T-test. The results showed a significant improvement in the learning outcomes of students taught with the Jigsaw model compared to those taught using traditional lecture methods. The Jigsaw model facilitated collaborative learning, increased student activity, and improved responsibility within groups, contributing to a deeper understanding of the subject matter. These findings suggest that the Jigsaw model is an effective instructional strategy in Islamic education, particularly for fostering cognitive and social skills essential for 21st-century learning.
