PENGARUH KARAKTER GURU PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM TERHADAP SIKAP RELIGIUS SISWA DI SMA BRAWIJAYA SMART SCHOOL MALANG
Abstract
This research aims to analyze the effect of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers’ character on students’ religious attitudes at Brawijaya Smart School Malang. Religious attitude refers to students’ internalized beliefs and behaviors in accordance with Islamic teachings, including worship, morality, and social aspects. Using a quantitative associative approach with an ex post facto design, the study involved 95 students selected from four grade XI 1-XI 4 classes. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using normality, linearity, t-test, and simple linear regression. The findings revealed a significant effect of PAI teachers’ character on students’ religious attitudes, with a contribution of 10.6%, while the remaining 89.4% was influenced by other factors. These results highlight that although teachers’ character is important in shaping students’ religiosity, reinforcement through broader school programs and extracurricular religious activities is necessary.
