IMPLEMENTASI PEMBIASAAN PEMBACAAN SURAT YASIN DI AWAL PEMBELAJARAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA Al-QUR’AN SISWA SMP NEGERI 1 WONOSARI KABUPATEN MALANG
Abstract
This study explores the implementation of the Yasin recitation habit programme at SMP Negeri 1 Wonosari, initiated to overcome students’ low ability in reading the Qur’an and their limited participation in religious activities. The programme is intended to foster positive habits and increase students’ confidence in Qur’an recitation. The research employs a qualitative case study approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects include the principal, Islamic Education teachers, and ninth-grade students. Data were analysed through condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing, while validity was ensured through triangulation of sources, techniques, and time. The findings show that the programme is held regularly every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday before classes begin, involving the entire school community and led by selected students under teacher guidance. Evaluation is carried out continuously by teachers and the principal. The results indicate improvements in students’ reading ability, particularly in fluency, makhraj, and application of tajwid. However, challenges include limited supporting facilities and lack of accompanying teachers. Overall, the routine recitation of Surat Yasin is proven effective in enhancing students’ Qur’an reading ability and shaping their religious character.
