NILAI-NILAI PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DALAM KEARIFAN LOKAL JARANAN: STUDI KASUS DI DESA KALISONGO
Abstract
This study aims to explore the values of Islamic religious education embedded in the traditional art of Jaranan in Kalisongo Village, Dau District, Malang Regency, and to describe its transformation from street performance art into a medium of da’wah. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting data through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results revealed that Jaranan contains multicultural Islamic educational values, including religiosity, moral values such as honesty, patience, courage, as well as togetherness, social solidarity, and cultural tolerance. These values are internalized through cognitive, affective, and psychomotor processes within each Jaranan performance. Thus, Jaranan in Kalisongo Village functions not only as public entertainment but also as a non-formal educational and da’wah medium that is relevant to fostering a religious, tolerant, and cultured society amidst globalization.
