This study addresses the central question of how the implementation of Aqidah Akhlak learning contributes to the formation of students’ religious character at MTs Wahid Hasyim 02 Dau, against the backdrop of the urgent need for character education rooted in religious values amid rapid social change. Positioned as a qualitative research, this study explores in depth the practices of Aqidah Akhlak instruction, the role of teachers, and the involvement of both school and family environments. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to examine the instructional methods employed, including interactive lectures, discussions, Q&A, collaboration, personal approaches, role modeling, and storytelling. The findings reveal that the flexibility of teaching methods, habituation of religious activities (such as congregational dhuha prayer, Qur’an recitation, and BTAQ programs), and synergy among teachers, parents, and the school significantly reinforce the internalization of Islamic values in students’ daily behavior. The research asserts that the successful formation of students’ religious character is highly dependent on the consistent integration of Islamic values in learning and ongoing collaboration between school and family.
