The increasing number of adolescents experiencing fatherlessness, namely the physical and emotional absence of a father figure, is thought to impact the development of students' spiritual intelligence. In the context of Islamic Religious Education, spiritual intelligence is an important aspect that reflects the meaning of life, moral values, and relationship with God. This study aims to determine the effect of fatherlessness on students' spiritual intelligence and the categories of spiritual intelligence of students who experience fatherlessness and non-fatherlessness. The approach used is quantitative with a survey method. The research sample was grade X students of SMA Negeri 7 Malang who were selected using a simple random sampling technique and determined by the Slovin formula. The instrument was a Likert scale questionnaire based on fatherlessness indicators from Hart and spiritual intelligence from Danah Zohar & Ian Marshall. The results of the regression analysis showed a significant effect of fatherlessness on spiritual intelligence (p = 0.000; R² = 0.364). Categorization analysis showed that non-fatherless students were more dominant in the high category. The Mann-Whitney U test also showed a significant difference between the two groups (p = 0.020). These findings confirm the importance of the role of fathers in shaping students' spiritual intelligence.
