INTERNALISASI KARAKTER RELIGIUS MELALUI PROGRAM UNGGULAN TAHFIDZ DI MTSN KOTAPASURUAN

Abstract


The deterioration of religious character among students due to weak practical religious education, lack of parental supervision, and the negative influence of globalization and social media is a serious challenge in the world of education. MTsN Kota Pasuruan responded to this challenge by developing a superior tahfidz program to strengthen students' religious character. This program aims to form a strong Islamic personality through the habituation of worship and memorization of the Qur'an, as well as instilling the values of faith, discipline, and noble character based on the Qur'an and Hadith. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects include the Head of Madrasah, Waka Kesiswaan, Tahfidz Teacher, and Students. The results showed that the planning of internalizing religious characters was carried out through the preparation of a special tahfidz curriculum, setting memorization targets, and habituation of daily worship activities such as dhuha and zuhur prayers in congregation. The implementation strategy includes habituation, teacher exemplary, memorization deposit program, muraja'ah, verse connection, tasmi', and reward. Evaluation is carried out daily through observation of student behavior, order point system, and cooperation with parents, as well as memorization evaluation through memorization tests and rotating tasmi' between students.
