Abstract

 

The results of observations at MA Bahrul Maghfiroh show that class X students have difficulties in understanding the funeral prayer material. This problem is caused by several main factors. First, learning jurisprudence at school only emphasizes theoretical or cognitive aspects. Second, the religious education system in schools is not well organized. Third, assessment in Islamic religious education lessons tends to only measure theoretical knowledge, just like other general lessons. Qualitative descriptive research uses this type of research; The presence of researchers at the study location can support the validity of the data so that the resulting data meet the standards of authenticity. Qualitative data collection techniques are essentially tentative because their use is determined by the context of the problem and the description of the data collected. The implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model at MA Bahrul Maghfiroh is going well. This model helps students become more active and motivated, as well as improve their thinking abilities. PBL also allows group work and helps students assess their ability to solve problems. Supporting factors are appropriate curriculum, adequate facilities, and teacher ability. However, challenges include differences in student abilities, varying characteristics, and limited teacher time and preparation.
