This research is motivated by the perception that Islamic Education and Character Building (PAIBP) lessons are boring, making it difficult for students to understand the material. The study aims to determine the influence of video-based learning media on the interest in learning PAIBP among ninth-grade students at SMP Bahrul Maghfiroh. This quantitative research uses a Quasi-Experiment design, involving class IX A as the experimental group and class IX C as the control group, selected randomly. Data was collected through a learning interest questionnaire and analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis tests with SPSS version 25. The findings show that students' enthusiasm in learning PAIBP is considerably impacted by the usage of video-based learning resources. The results of the T-test revealed a significant difference in learning interest between the experimental and control groups, with a t-value of 3.508 and a significance level of 0.001<0.05. At SMP Bahrul Maghfiroh, ninth-grade students' interest in learning PAIBP is positively impacted by video media, as evidenced by the acceptance of the hypothesis (Ha) and the rejection of the null hypothesis (Ho).
