Abstract
This research is motivated by learning motivation. Where every child must have the motivation to learn to achieve a better future in the future. In this case, researchers focus more on the cooperation of teachers and parents in fostering student learning motivation. With this collaboration, it is hoped that students will have awareness in increasing their learning motivation. For this reason, this research uses a qualitative research methodology by presenting data using qualitative descriptions. Then, for the type, use case study research. The data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instruments used were observation sheets, and teacher, parent, and student interview sheets. The research results show that 1) the role of teachers in fostering learning motivation in students at Al-Rifa'ie High School includes, being a good demonstrator, being able to be both an educator and a parent, being a mediator by providing various ways of delivering material 2) the role of people parents in fostering learning motivation in students at Al-Rifa'ie High School includes being a motivator. 3) the form of collaboration carried out by teachers and parents in fostering student learning motivation, namely by building communication through WhatsApp media. Through this application, teachers and parents connect. 4) obstacles to collaboration between teachers and parents, namely the constraints of limited time, and lack of time mean that other collaborations do not occur. Long distance is another factor hampering collaboration between teachers and parents. Apart from that, the foundation never held it. Al-Rifa'ie High School, which is under the Al-Rifa'ie Modern Boarding School Foundation, means the school must obtain permission from the foundation.
