Abstract

The purpose of creating this interactive animated animation was to enhance pupils' comprehension of Islamic religious education curriculum. The fact that some students find Islamic Religious Education Learning (PAI) to be unappealing is one of the major obstacles. This research aims to develop interactive animation videos as a PAI learning medium at SMA Islam Nusantara, with the hope of increasing students' interest and motivation in learning Islamic teachings and helping them understand the material better. This research aims to develop interactive animation videos as a learning medium for Islamic Religious Education. It is hoped that this research can be a solution to the lack of interest of students in PAI materials in schools. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method which involves the steps of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Interactive animated videos were chosen as innovations because they are able to combine visual, audio, and interactive elements that can simplify abstract concepts and present material in a more engaging and easy-to-understand way. Thus, this media is expected to increase student involvement in learning and facilitate their understanding of PAI material. The study results indicated that interactive animation movies, used as a medium for PAI learning, were highly effective. In a small group, the product achieved an effectiveness rate of 89%, while in a bigger group, the rate increased to 96%. The teacher's reaction received a score of 90% in addition to the findings that indicated interactive animation movies as a PAI learning medium were highly effective in capturing students' interest in PAI topics.
