STRATEGI GURU DALAM MENINGKATKAN RASA PERCAYA DIRI PESERTA DIDIK MELALUI KEGIATAN KHITOBAH DI SMKN 4 MALANG

Abstract


One strategy that can be used is through khitobah activities that not only train communication skills but also build courage and self-confidence. As has been done by teachers at SMKN 4 Malang who have implemented the khitobah program, this aims to help increase students' confidence. This study aims to analyze teacher strategy planning, describe the implementation of teacher strategies, and evaluate factors that affect the success of teacher strategies in increasing students' confidence through khitobah activities at SMKN 4 Malang. The research approach used is qualitative with the type of case study research. Data were obtained through participation observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation analysis. The data that has been collected is then summarized and presented as simply as possible so that it is easy to understand. The results of the study show that the strategies carried out by teachers in increasing students' confidence through khitobah activities at SMKN 4 Malang are by understanding the uniqueness and individual needs of students, adjusting teaching methods, designing or scheduling regular and structured training sessions to hone their public speaking skills. The implementation of strategies includes cooperative learning, role playing, and individual and group approaches, all of which encourage the improvement of students' speaking skills and confidence. Strategy evaluation is carried out by direct observation, this allows teachers to assess students' abilities directly, while peer evaluations provide additional perspective and documentation analysis helps in seeing students' progress over time.
