Abstract

This article discussesHthe Strategies of IslamicRReligious Education Teachers in developing students' emotional intelligence at MTs Hidayatul Mubtadi'in. This study aimsHto find out the strategies used by Islamic Religious Education teachers in developing students' emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize, understand, and manage emotions and interact effectively with others, which is crucial in the formation of students' character and morality. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design. Data was collected through participatory observation, analysis of documents related to teaching methods, and interactions in the school environment. Islamic Religious Education teachers develop the emotional intelligence of their students by teaching the values of Akhlakul karimah, instilling the habit of self-reflection, and strengthening social skills and empathy through group activities and discussions. In addition, the personal approach and example from teachers are also found to be important factors in the development of students' emotional intelligence. This study concludes that a comprehensive and integrated strategy in Islamic religious education makes a significant contribution to the development of students' emotional intelligence, which ultimately supports the achievement of overall educational goals.
